This program, fully run by volunteers, offers a safe way for seniors to say goodbye to high school and celebrate graduation.
Since 1989
The events of the evening are always a surprise for our students. From 6pm until sunrise, the seniors will be transported to various venues, each with its own theme providing a range of activities and food. It allows the class to have one last night together to celebrate in a safe and engaging way.
The funds for this event are raised each year by the Senior Celebration committee. Senior Celebration is not a school sponsored event and therefore not covered by funds raised for Senior Week by the students.
Upcoming Fundraisers:
While the event is free to all graduating seniors, the estimated cost is $150 per student. This covers nearly 12 hours of activities, food and transportation! Each year 25% of the funds needed for the event are raised from the Greater Newburyport business community and 75% from parents. The fundraising for the event is all done through the Port Youth and Rec Foundation.
Please show our graduates, these young adults, that you care for their health and safety and help us to make graduation night a fun and safe experience for them.
