The Nancy Edman Earls Memorial Fund

The Port Youth and Rec Foundation is honored to establish the Nancy Earls Memorial Fund to celebrate Nancy’s life and lasting impact on our community.

Supporting Children and Families

For more than 20 years, Nancy dedicated herself to supporting families living in low-income housing in Newburyport. She believed every young person deserved the opportunity to graduate high school and pursue their dreams. To make this possible, Nancy founded the Newburyport Learning Enrichment Center, where she created safe, welcoming spaces for children and families. Through tutoring and mentoring programs, enrichment activities, trips, and family events, Nancy touched countless lives. Her commitment extended to all families in our city, and her legacy continues to inspire.

Through this memorial fund, Nancy’s work will live on:

• The first $5,000 raised will support the New Recreation Center, where a room will be named in Nancy’s honor.

   

• Any additional gifts will provide direct support to families in need by:

   

  • Expanding access to cultural, academic, and recreational programming.

     

  • Offering social service supports for children, youth, and families across our community.

This fund ensures that Nancy’s vision of opportunity, support, and community will continue for generations.
